I have a favorite belt, as you can probably tell from Actually, Outfit Dissecting, Myself. While mine is vintage, this one from Maximum Henry in dark brown is the closest new option. I bought it in black a few years ago but want the light brown. This one is also on my list.
I’d wear this with the new brown Ann Mashburn espadrilles.
There are very few things you could make in Liberty that wouldn’t tempt me. (Liberty top and bottom.) J.Crew swimwear has consistently been wonderful for as long as I can remember. Their string bikini never fails (truly, is there anything more classic), and this new suit (top, bottom) I bought this year is just as good. How CUTE is it in eyelet?
I have three (had four, but I regretfully gave my green to a friend… Nancy, I’m glad you love them) Martinianos. They’re without a doubt the best shoes for everything, but specifically for work. If I worked in an office, which I don’t, I’d wear them daily. My sister has walked ten miles in them before, and my co-worker years ago famously hiked a mountain in Peru wearing them. Despite how fragile they look, they’re actually tough. The black is great all year but especially nice for fall… since you know I’m thinking about it!
I got this last winter and, truthfully, didn’t like it when I got it; something about it felt forced in that moment. A few weeks ago, I rediscovered it (the best) and it reminded me of the beach—the way the house smells after a day of sun when you’re tipsy from beach beers and sipping amaro. It’s delightful. My ideal summer scent paired with sunscreen and citronella body spray.
I’ve heard very positive things about Jamie Haller shoes. I’ve been leaning into heels more, as you know, because it gives me a great excuse to wear jeans to pretty much anything. I like these heels in navy and red. I also, shockingly (if you knew me years ago, less so), like the neon yellow. And I’d never actually wear these, but the orange snakeskin heels are great if you would.
For the last two months I’ve been using Bonjout Beauty Le Balm. I wanted to really try it before officially sharing my brief review, given that it’s not a cheap product by any means. It’s incredible. Truly one of the only products you need to bring with you when traveling. 10/10, actually.
Saint James shirts are great all year round, but I like to bring the heavier version on summer trips because it’s long-sleeved and can double as a sweatshirt. It’s great for throwing on in the morning for a coffee run or at night for a dusk walk. Think: Maine. I’m always guaranteed to twin with someone while wearing it; half the fun! The light version is my favorite for layering.
A few things I’m enjoying:
My favorite Buck Mason Jeans are back in stock. I wore them essentially daily all winter and spring. They’ve faded very nicely, like the classic APC jeans but more comfortable (in fact, they’re VERY comfortable. I WILLINGLY wear them to work from home!).
Rhode blush in Freckle, the only blush I’ve been using this year.
Chloë Sevigny wore my favorite summer slides that I wrote about on SECRETS last month. My mom has been wearing the classics for the last fifteen years.

A Peter Pan collar shirt, a striped Hermès bag, a neon pink bra, dog collars, classic clogs, another swimsuit, a possible addition to my bag collection, and a pair of shoes that make me want to book a trip.

Shoes I’m buying for… fall, a swiss dot “going out top” (believe it or not), a linen dress that feels dressed up, a zip-up hoodie, carpenter shorts, a shirtdress that could easily be one of the only things you pack for a warm weather trip, my favorite vintage bags in a set ideal for your first purchase, and leather flip flops because it’s warm out.
