Just Sent No.42
Colorful clothes for a rainy weekend!
It’s raining in the city (and cold, for spring). No better excuse to put together everything I’d wear if it were warm and sunny! I also updated my Sustainably Sourced Rec League with new finds. Now, back to adding items to various boards!
When I showed my mom these jellies she essentially took them off my feet in joy, “I had those!!!” 80’s in the best way. I got lilac but I really couldn’t decide, and lucky for us, they’re under $30 (pretty sturdy I will admit) so you could get a few. The top contenders for me are navy, red, green, and glitter.
I won’t wear it out, you all know, Buck Mason makes the best (new) jeans. I had not tried the Jet Set and I’m sold. With the Wallabees, hello. When I was about eight my mom had this friend, I thought she was the coolest person in the world—she was a doctor, semi-professional cyclist, and just really cool. This was also at the time where I wanted to live in Asheville, be a professional athlete… traits I like to keep at my core but am very far from now. I bought my first pair of Wallabee’s (in cola… that I’m very close to buying again) because of her and would wear them with wide leg or bootcut jeans (again, because of her). I feel like little me would really like this outfit, and that’s what matters. It would also be great with Dansko clogs, similar vibe.
This perfume is very unexpected. The top note is green banana, but it’s an oud perfume, unlike most oud this is light and summery—feels like a sexy beach trip, hence the name Miami split. I’m one of those people who loves the smell of sunscreen and tanning lotion, so this is really something for me. I first heard about Abel at an event for the brand through my friend Julia’s Substack, Saloon, where I met Olivia, who handles the brands PR. She sent me this perfume to celebrate the launch, and I’ve been wearing it every day since (actually). Abel makes everything in a mini size, too, which I love for keeping in my purse. My current purse mini is Cyan Nori. I also like Laundry Day when I tried it, it’s clean and bright (as you’d imagine). It’s on my list next time I’m buying a perfume!
I’m not much of a “going out top” girl. That said, because I do love to completely contradict myself, I have recently saved more… let’s call them… “exciting” tops. This tank from Suzi Kondi is super cool. Feels a little more ~going out~ than a regular tank, but not like a wear-it-once situation (which you know I do not do).
I have a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs shorts from my mom, probably circa late 2000s, that look a lot like these. A dressy short hasn’t really made a comeback, maybe this is it? With white espadrilles.
Now that Symbol hosts more events, I’m working on having a good set of event pieces. These shoes remind me of a pair I got a few years ago from this very random shop on the Upper East Side. I was torn between the red and the pink.
I used to be a runner (I’m trying again), and a split-leg short is sort of the only reason to be one. I wouldn’t actually go for a run in these shorts, but I’d wear them with a tank or a big shirt.
My client, Eliza from Sister Parish, introduced me to Coniglio, a Palm Beach-based brand. I’m a huge fan of a mini dress, despite not wearing them enough that it’s obvious. Love the idea of this with my K.Jacques thong sandals.
Another Suzie Kondi piece because I like to scroll a site. I was recently getting lunch with a friend, and she asked me how I find everything, and I said, “ Well, I’m addicted to finding—and saving—clothes, and have been since I was allowed to use the computer freely.” Which is why Just Sent is a dream to do and SO much fun.
I walk by Madewell every day, and in the window, they’ve had these pants. They feel like a dupe for the Commi Si or Donni pants. The color looks good in person!
A few things I’m enjoying:
The Powder Room is one of my favorite YouTube podcasts. This was such a good combo.
On Friday, I went to a Mario Buatta sale with Lanier. Came out with a few scores: a large bolt of vintage Brunschwig & Fils fabric and an insane humor needlepoint pillow. I played with my new fabric at the Symbol showroom. Imagine it as roman shades with a pink mohair sofa, a yellow checked sofa, and a cord ottoman.
Buck Mason just restocked the Roper Jeans in the medium wash that I’ve been wanting to try (they’ve been sold out for months it seems). Finally!

Don't sleep on the Buck Mason Mainstay button up shirt either. So good. I size up for ease. They come out with good colors every year but the new soft blue with strip is so nice. Very picky about my button up shirts. It fits like a dream and is super unfussy.
