I’m daydreaming about wearing sandals (it snowed over the weekend at the house), and after getting an ad from Bernardo that instantly sent me back in time, I’ve got an outfit for said daydream all lined up (a skirt below and a tank). My current red sandals are from Worishofer and Salt Water. You do sort of feel like a little kid in the salt waters, so I balance it out with some baggy jeans and a tank (I would love this on a kid, too).
After buying the Bean Earrings for our friend's wedding in March, I have fallen into the trap of potentially being an earring wearer. It's not an everyday occurrence, of course, but for special occasions, it’s nice. I like this pair (also) from Lizzie Fortunato: pearls, wood, and baby blue.
Walker got me this perfume, and it’s the perfect spring scent. Last summer, fall, and winter, I wore Tóor Tóor (25% off), which is still a favorite. Little Flower is my travel perfume, but good enough to upgrade to a full size.
I’m usually pro-ankle jeans (not too cropped; you have to get them tailored right above the ankle), but recently, I’ve really liked wearing long jeans. I’ve never had anything from Re/Done, but these jeans look good. A raw hem brings me back to high school, but so do Mumford & Sons, Lana Del Ray, Bon Iver, and Caamp, which all released new music recently. The trend cycle is proving itself. Wrangler also makes the best white jeans (Cowboy Cut), but they don’t seem to have any online.
Another throwback, No.6 Clogs in Bourbon, have been on my mind. I tried to create a pair on the Sven site (this is where No.6 gets their shoes made; they’re the same), but they’ve since discontinued their version of the Bourbon (Whiskey, duh.). I'd recommend buying clogs from Sven if you want black, gold, red, or suede (all good choices). The sling strap with the Swedish base is also pretty amazing in gold, patent red/cherry, or smooth navy. Reminds me of Hanna Anderson clogs.
I’ve mentioned sunglasses a lot, so I won’t bore you with my commentary. This Moscot style looks like a good everyday pair. It's nothing special and easy to wear—very Grace Kelly!
My dad wears this shirt on the weekend in white or blue Oxford. I’ve gotten a few hand-me-downs and wear them when I’m upstate. I like the stripe with a pair of white jeans. If you’re looking for an oversized shirt, don’t fall for “oversized” and go straight to the source: a men’s button-down sized up two sizes. My other favorite is from J.Crew (in white or striped).
Depending on whether it looks good, I’ve added this skirt to my list of actual purchases. It would be nice with a white tank, sunglasses, and Casteners (extra lows are the best for events and every day). I also like the Brook Callahan skirts. They look very low rise, but the adjustable waist fixes that issue (and makes it extraordinary for big dinners). Speaking of skirts, this is the best underwear for skirts and dresses.
Comfy pants that look good are the answer to Spring and Summer loungewear. Sometimes, shorts feel too casual, even when hanging out on the sofa, but nice poplin pants and a T-shirt—now we’re talking. A few years ago, I got the Ann Mashburn pajama pants. They’ve held up well (don’t put them in the dryer).
I have my fair share of black flats, but navy, none! Last Spring, I wanted a pair of navy Belgians, but this seems like an easy compromise since Belgians have gotten disgustingly expensive. In terms of flats, my friend Emma likes Ballerette, specifically the heeled version. I like it in navy and the flat in yellow (brown and brown suede are wonderful).

Happy to see the Sven shout out. I don't see them mentioned very often. Wish they did a good sandal. Their color selections are amazing (and you can order leather swatches for free fyi).
Glad to see someone else loves Little Flower--my favorite "special event" scent!
