"From My Saved" 9.13.24
Late summer, stripes, and camel coats
I love this time of year because everyone seems bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. It’s technically summer for a few more days, daylight savings hasn’t ended, the excitement of being back in a routine is comforting, and the pre-holiday stress hasn’t kicked in. My street is between the river and Central Park and has three bustling destinations: a subway, a hospital, and a school. Like clockwork, people stream down the sidewalk as Jane and I swim upstream every morning. I find it inspiring to watch people of all ages in the few minutes before they transition into work mode. A reminder that we all have something to do, a place to be, and a skill to share.
