Allow me to reintroduce, Outfit Dissecting.
I’m happy that it still sums up what I love to do today as much as it did when I started.

Over the last four years, I’ been thinking about how to restart. When I started this Substack, I named it after a new project, trying to disconnect it from Outfit Dissecting. As I was writing, the name never felt right – I wasn’t writing fiction – I was still Outfit Dissecting. While the realization may be painfully obvious, it does, after all, make more sense. It took me some time to come to terms with the evolution. Outfit Dissecting may not look exactly the same as it did when I started in 2017 (what does), but at the very least, I’m happy that it still sums up what I love to do today as much as it did when I started.
Nothing about the content of this Substack will change; in fact, it may get better (no promises). I’ll continue to share clothes, outfits, write, and so on. If enough of you convince me, there may be a chance that I will bring the interview series back on Substack!

If you’re new to Outfit Dissecting, here are a few dissections:
Ann Mashburn, Peter Middleton, Batsheva Hay, among so many other incredible people. It ran as a column on Harpers Bazaar as well.
If you liked the name Great Short Fiction, thank you. It’s not going anywhere; I still have to work!
